Loved reading this so early in the day. I'm up doing things, preparing for more doctor's visits than I've ever needed, feeding the cats their small portions on their 5x day schedule, 8, 12, 4, 8, and a tiny meal at 10:30pm. Taking good care of them who I depend on as much as they depend on me and Nic. I doubt you ever procratinated on any of your pets. Not even Droopy, who I believe was your first, but not sure. I can't believe I had the chance to meet and pet him. He was a beautiful dog. All of yours have been well taken care of, never a procrastination there. Moee like to the vet asap if something was up. This piece was so simple, a lovely introduction to your earliest work. Thanks, Paul. Loved the photo, too.
Love this! So endearing & fun to read your earlier work - it's clearly you, but with a youthful bad-assery that has subtly shifted with the years. I remain a devoted procrastinator!
Really ejoyed reading this, Paul. I have compiled a veritable host of good reasons for procrastination for years, in my spare moments, and to reassure students who are running late. You have added some good excuses to my compilation, and added a couple I had not thought of. I was all set to write a reply this morning, but I'm in the middle of breakfast, and it's a Monday, so maybe I'll start that reply tomorrow. Or Wednesday. Thanks Chief!
I’m thinking this might be a good song or poem. Also, since it was a class assignment, maybe it was just a clever punk way of avoiding real hard writing. Haha! No judgement from me. I really enjoy your writing, and there’s always some kind of practical advice, and a bit of wisdom about human nature.
Hysterical! You've just described my modus operandi.
Great minds think alike, Sue!
🤣

Thanks, Connie! 5X a day? I need to talk to you about that. I'm curious. Sending love. XOXO
I had to research the best way for them, because 2x a day didn't work. This did. When we can't do it, they get by.

It's a much maligned skill...I'll get around to saying more about it....soon....

Thanks, Tim. And you can be sure that, when you DO post something, I'll DEFINITELY get around to responding at the first possible opportunity...
I renamed this 'transitional space', a long time ago. And I firmly stand by it as an ongoing daily practice. 🫠💛🫡
