I loved all the contributions, they were lovely. you must have caught me on a bad day. kind of feel like a "Debbie downer" in the mix, sorry, such is life these days. BUT!!!!! oh WOW, what fabulous news on your upcoming wedding. I am oh so very happy for you both. this is just fabulous. congratulations.
Thanks so much, Tabby! And I was so glad you brought that dose of painful reality into the mix. I'm obviously all wrapped up in my own excitement these days, but I also spend a lot of time reading the news in total horror. I felt such a kinship with everything you wrote.
Yes, Tabby. Not downer. Truth. Shame. Horrors. Sadism. Rampant unforced errors meant to tear things apart and thousands upon thousands of human beings, children, and babies turned to dust. Not a downer. Enticement to fight. Thank you for your statement. One we are all coping with or trying to as we move, profoundly tired, from the destruction and undoing. We are with you. Connie
First of all, Tonya and Paul and Santo, congratulations on your future adventures bound with love. And second, what a powerhouse of essays. And welcome to Luciano.
I slept well last night which doesn't happen that often, but I woke up with a smile on my face, that kind of sensibility anyway. And I thought, I have to write Paul and Tonya that I love them and am feeling extraordinarily grateful for their meeting and falling in love, because we have been a tiny family for years, and now we have a huge family because of Tonya alone. She brings with her the world as she see it and moves in it and focuses for us all, adding so much to our lives and so much to Paul's, that we very much feel from across the town. To all of you on this topic, I am getting back raves from friends to whom I forwarded our answers to Tonya's question. Some very fun astute folks, mostly NYrs, but who love to think and read and be in this world. Thank you all for your comments, and debbie downer, too, who represented the truth that we all feel concerning the dour state of agression and sadism currently breaking down lives and other people's families and homes. Constance
I can't tell you how happy it makes me to have you both in my real-life family and also my Juke family, Connie. My world has gotten so much bigger the past few years! Big and filled with people I love. It's impossible to express how grateful I am.

Objects, gardens, animals, people, compounds, countries and the spaces in-between. Great "conversation". Love it.
