I read this and then brought up Paul Simon's song on Youtube. I read it again and let Paul underscore way in the background. So many lines to keep in this, but this one here is one I'll return to: "Still, there is catechism tattooed in my mouth. When I look for sanctuary, I always end up in the same place." That one leaves a mark. Such a wonderful piece, Tonya.

I have to thank you for another fascinating, multilayered comment, Connie. I love how you phrased it, the "ongoing primitive need to surrender". It's such a powerful thought. I'll be thinking about your words, and the universal need for ritual, for a while.
