Sky Writing In The Land Of The Giants
A new soundtrack for looking upward, from Alabama's Ned Mudd...
Sky Writing In The Land Of The Giants
a cup of tar sand
an ambulance of books
the death of the Earth Machine:
a luxurious redaction
a hole swallowing time
a ridiculous chasm
a memory gulch
a geological psyche
a deep vein thrombosis
a galaxy of schisms
a black rose in Gethsemane
a final straw.
they are wrong
the map is the territory
words disappear
like
a
falling
satellite.

Man--that is out of this world. I am currently finishing up writing a story about the Space Age and, man oh man, your post hit the inbox in just right moments! Bravo!
I love the "ambulance of books" line. I read this while I was listening to "The Last Iceberg on Earth," and the whole thing, the music, the sparse, breathless lines, and the painting flowed together fantastically into an amazing experience to start my morning. Thank you!
