In Need of Old Gods
What do we know of who we are...
In Need of Old Gods
stitched the seer into horse hide to dream upon some conjoined chief gifted to birth sorrow and lack joyous sleep (she said they ended up in France tongues wagging in spite of fealty or chronos) killed the horse for the seer’s cloak sewn into womb hide and hair memoried songs unfurl till the bones rattle in their frame (“i think they gave up on truth and spent themselves in infamy”). what do we know of who we are: round in passing words betraying us the past a broken promise? summer rains give way the seer forgotten all fire and combustion the industry of marking a world in need of old gods.
