Just wonderful! And it made me realise we all must have a multitude of soulmates who each feel in our unique ways that same beauty. Is it so surprising that we all may share in this…unity? love? compassion? …no words but my heart knows.

Yes. We all need those connections. Now, more than ever. Those little moments of respite and rejuvenation. I hope you find some today

Amigo: Ain’t seen no ghost blinkers round my place. You sure you that wadn’t the Piggly Wiggly’s neon sign reflecting off the Cahaba’s inky depths? Carolina wrens we got!

Haha!

These are the for-real for-real. I've seen them over by Cahaba Beach Road, but I wouldn't be surprised to find them in your back forty. They typically are out just after dark and only for about an hour or so.

I was saying to Emily and Charles the other night, that I still wanna stage a reading on the water. You know she lives just downstream from y'all.

Maybe a full moon river reading ...

We can do a round river mosquito hoedown under the selenite rays. Like in the ole daze. No ticket required.

Reading this this a.m. was a bit of an unburdening. We must take/make/allow long lingering moments with the good. It's the only way. And, I miss the fireflies. It was one of my favorite parts of summer growing up in Michigan, and when I lived on a river in Virginia back in the early 2000's. I've lived permanently in Florida for over a decade now. No fireflies where I live. But thanks to you, I'm going to start researching and actively seeking them out, maybe plan a camping trip when they're at peek somewhere. Thank you

It's crazy how many different species of fireflies there are. The Blue Ghosts are only out for a few weeks here. I went out looking for them last night, but I think I was a little too late in the evening. They are so magical!
