So many humans live in cities now who don't pay attention to Nature, it's a wonder anything is seen outside that view. There's a lot of empty space out there, though. Just because it's not been seen doesn't mean it no longer exists.

An article came out this past week about a bio-firm working to de-extinct the species. It's a fascinating time to be alive.

I hope we can all become better stewards and keep what wilderness remains forever wild.

Um ... did these guys ever see Jurassic Park? Maybe they did and took it as a prime directive instead of a warning about dicking around with science, especially biology. Some species went extinct for reasons other than human cause. Lots of 'em. You're right, we need to become better stewards, but we also need to become more sane and prudent. A university professor I know once said, "Academia hides a multitude of sins." So does science if we're not wise.
